HR & Payroll
- In one line
- Attendance to payslip without the month-end scramble
- Capabilities
- 6, shipped together
- Installs onto
- A running ERPNext instance
Payroll is the process most likely to be running in a spreadsheet beside an otherwise complete ERP.
It is also the one most likely to eat the first three days of the month. Attendance, leave, shifts, payroll and compliance sit with operations, so hours worked become salary without an export, a merge and a recheck.
What the module actually does
Biometric attendance, shifts and leave, statutory payroll and employee self-service, in the same ERP as everything else.
- 01
Devices and regularisation
Punches pulled on a schedule from biometric, RFID and face-recognition devices, with handling for missed punches and downtime. Corrections are employee-raised, manager-approved and capped, so the exception does not become routine.
- 02
Shifts and rosters
Multiple shift patterns, rotating rosters, night shifts, weekly offs and location-specific holiday calendars. Overtime by rule.
- 03
Leave management
Accrual, carry-forward, encashment and approval workflows, with balances visible to employees before they apply.
- 04
Payroll processing
Earnings, deductions and reimbursements; arrears, incentives and loan recovery; payslips generated and distributed automatically.
- 05
Statutory compliance
PF, ESI, professional tax, income tax and gratuity, with returns and challans from the same payroll run.
- 06
Self-service and records
Attendance, leave, payslips, tax declarations and claims on web and mobile. Onboarding checklists, document expiry alerts, appraisals and full employee history behind them.
What changes once it is in
Ranges reported by clients running it, not laboratory figures. Where you land depends mostly on where you are starting from.
- Payroll processing from days to hours
- Attendance disputes settled by device-level records
- Statutory filings generated from payroll, not prepared separately
- Routine HR queries absorbed by self-service
- Leave balances visible before the application, not after
- Labour cost visible against departments, projects and jobs
Where it earns its place
The operations this module was built around. If yours is not on the list, it is worth fifteen minutes to find out why.

- 02
Multi-branch retail and service businesses
- 03
